New SEC cybersecurity rules for public companies

As of December 18, most public companies will have a new set of rules to adhere to. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is expecting companies to enhance and standardize disclosures regarding cybersecurity risk management, strategy, governance and incidents starting December 18, 2023. This change means companies need to disclose their cybersecurity program and cybersecurity incidents in a timely fashion.
