You think that programming languages and frameworks are just a tool to solve complex business problems and they don't shape your general programming thinking model.

Code quality is so important to you and this is something that you will never compromise. You write readable and understandable code. You think "Worse is better" as we do. Simplicity guides your everyday decisions while designing software. You like designing and developing low-level client-side applications that will interact with other systems like storage systems, networks, cloud services, etc. 

You want to own product development end-to-end leading with the right design and development principles. You have strong communication and collaboration skills that make you an ideal team player. You have a strong sense of ownership and a curiosity to understand how things work, even if they take you outside of your expertise area. You welcome feedback and are constantly looking for ways to improve yourself. For you, team accomplishments come first, not your personal glories.

We are looking for experience in one or more of the following skillsets:
  • Proven experience as a Sr. R&D Engineer

  • Besides having a strong technical background, you have also shown that you can work effectively with product managers, designers, and other engineering teams

  • Eager to tackle complex technical problems, learn quickly, understand tradeoffs, and communicate solutions effectively

  • 5+ years experience in Software Development

  • 4+ years of experience in writing software in C/C++

  • 2+ years of experience working with Windows operating system internals

  • In-depth understanding of Windows operating systems internals

  • Work with team and develop technical solutions in support of intelligence consulting efforts

  • Experience in writing asynchronous, thread-safe and concurrent system level code on Windows (libraries, services)

  • Experience with Software Development lifecycle and shipping commercial software without issues

  • Experience in writing production-grade code is mandatory, willing to improve this skill

  • Strong user-mode debugging and performance analysis skills. Willing to learn and improve the skill

  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and design patterns

  • Passionate about software development and delivering high quality applications

  • Motivated to understand how things work

  • Attention to details and high coding standards

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, work under pressure and maintain focus and a sense of humor

  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and analytical skills

  • Experience in an analyzing, profiling, determining bottlenecks for improving reliability and performance

The following skills are a plus:
  • Experience working with C++ Builder is a big plus

  • Experience working in the DFIR industry is a big plus

  • Experience with Windows Driver Development

  • Experience with Reverse Engineering

  • Experience working with Visual Studio

  • Experience with Security Research

Responsibilities

  • Maintain existing codebase that the team is responsible for and fix bugs in components in a timely mannerDesign, modify, implement, and document software application changes

  • Ensure that development progress, current issues and risks are clearly communicated to the Director of Development/Team Leader

  • Developing, debugging, and maintaining complex software on the Windows platform

  • Designing software to meet customer requirements

  • Keep up with security trends in the DFIR industry

  • Working in a standalone and/or team environment

  • Bring broad technical experience, creative problem-solving skills, a passion for technology and coding, and a healthy dose of self-motivation

  • Work at a fast pace and fail fast

  • Collaborate with a multi-functional team to define work that will meet organizational objectives

  • Take projects from inception and design through to delivery

  • Troubleshoot issues with the product as reported from customers responsively

  • Researching alternative technologies and methods to build IP and improve our current product

As engineers on the Enterprise Forensics Engineering Team, our mission is to build all-in-one evidence collectors which make it possible to acquire digital evidence and application artifacts from a live system in a blink of an eye. With our tools and software, our customers don’t need to lose their time in looking for the needle in the proverbial haystack.

We increase the effectiveness and minimize incident response time to minutes. Our solution meets the needs of cyber security and digital forensics at the same time. The software that we own is at the heart of our all products. It is the  engine for collecting more than 150+ digital forensics artifacts. We work closely with the Endpoint Engineering Team and Enterprise Software Team to deliver large-scale enterprise forensics solutions into the market.

We are product-minded software engineers who work closely with Product Managers and Product Owners to make sure that the features we develop solve business problems and meet customer expectations.
